Anarchy and Bliss
Exciting gigs bracketing your weekend exisitance.
Friday FEET TEETH, in duo mode of Kate and Joel with our friend Toady Sham aka Thomas Day aka Doubting Thomas doing a set of blissed out electronics and live analgoue collage visual projections, will play at the BASS (Brisbane Anarchstic Summer School) BALL! Also on the bill are BrainBeau (who we’re busy remixing), Gerald Keaney more! http://www.facebook.com/events/187817474683758/
Monday, back in trio mode (but still with Thomas projecting glory) we support Philippe Petit (from France) whose made turntable and noise cutups will be matched by Shoeb Ahmad (from Canberra’s Spartak) on guitar. Also playing is Joel Stern bringing his light synths and all-girl all-electronics all-bliss ensemble Shooga! It is at a new space, 199 Boundary St, West End (upstairs above the newsagency)
We’re also busy uploading a host of videos so check them out here:
Birthday Party Party
Performing with Lizzie and Zaimon for the Brisbane Festival was a hoot! Dance moves and reappropriated floor surfaces as costumes. Hopefully more things to come in the future.
Our next show is a party. A birthday party. The Waiting Room is one! We love the Waiting Room. We’ve probably played there more than anywhere else combined.
Also the poster is mad. It was made by Matthew Deasy of Do The Robot! fame. So excited about this. We probably won’t be playing any shows in November so this might be it for a while.
In other news were finalising the mixes for our forthcoming record. It’s our second record, and first with Kate on C64 and marimba. And we recorded it down below the Waiting Room with Cameron Smith at Incremental Records!
